The post of a facilities manager occupies unique and vital positions in any large institution such as shopping malls, hotels, schools and resorts. They often work for large commercial establishments or buildings. Services of a facilities manager are necessary in big buildings. Duties and Responsibilities

A facility manager has to work for a big institution .Here are some of the key responsibilities of a facilities manager which he or she has to fulfill:

  • A facilities manager needs to do inspect and supervise the work of current condition of electrical, air conditioning, plumbing and other essential facilities and equipment.

  • A manager has to maintain the efficiency effectively and good working conditions of the facilities.
  • He or she will have to always evaluate the work quality of his staff members and other subordinates.
  • A facility manager should always try to get the new and modern techniques so should coordinate with other offices and units for things that are not within the scope of the facilities service team.
  • He or she will also have to look for the financial system management and budget so will have to participate in preparing the budget and so that the facilities maintenance team will get the facilities maintenance team will have adequate funds for its operation.
  • It is the duty of a manager that he or she should always educate the workers of the establishment on the proper use and care of its equipment and other facilities.
