The Marketing Analysts are basically the one who research the markets and get the information about the sales, methods of marketing, competitors, prices, marketing outlets, and distribution channels to develop sales and marketing strategies. Therefore, they may analyze the results based on the information collected or use survey results to design marketing campaign so can be able to determine the sales situation.

Duties and Responsibilities

The marketing analyst plays a major role in a company or organization so he or she has to fulfill a lot of duties and responsibilities and they are as following:

  • PRIMARY DUTY: The basic and primary duty of a marketing analyst is to first of all develop a research plan, analyze the research results and offering marketing strategies perfectly.
  • ANALYZING CUSTOMERS: It will be the duty to analyze the customers, organizations, and other competitors in order to know their likes.
  • USING DIFFERENT METHODS: He or she will have to use the procedures such as graphs, charts and explanatory text.

  • CUSTOMERS ATRACTING PROCEDURES: He or she will have to do the devising and evaluating methods and procedures to collect data such as opinion polls, surveys, or questionnaires or arranging them to obtain accessible data to actually know about customer’s opinions.

Skills and Specifications

The marketing analyst plays a very important role in promoting the product indirectly after the marketing research so he or she should have the following skills and specifications:

  • KNOWLEDGE OF METHODS: The candidate should have the knowledge of methods and principles related to the research and analyzing procedures.
  • ABILITY OF PROMOTING: It will be necessary to have the ability to show, promote, and sell products or services.
  • KNOWLEDGE OF PRINCIPLES: He or she should have the knowledge of business principles involved in marketing strategic planning to work according to that.
  • SKILLS: The candidate needs to have very solid business acumen, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills to work.
