The high school director is a very responsible position basically the chief executive director of any school is its High School Director. The main responsibility is to make sure that the school is accomplished successfully which is a great task. He or she needs to fulfill every duty about the school starting from supervising the building contractors to ensuring that the security of the students. The duty includes supervising the employees as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

There are the following duties and responsibilities of a high school director:

  • He or she has the responsibility to keep the standard of the institution very high by ensuring that the support staff and the students receive high quality professional development.
  • He or she has to work for the programs for the students to help in attaining the excellence by building and managing of academic programs.
  • He or she has to ensure that the different operations of the school meet its required goals and objectives.
  • He or she needs to establish the committees for school departments and also organizing student schedules.
  • He or she has the responsibility to keep the school under constant check and avoid the deterioration of its standard.
  • He or she needs to provide the school with an environment of education and decorum based upon the needs of the students.
  • He or she has to take actively part in the meetings held at school, districts, state and other levels.
  • He or she is also responsible for operating budgets of the school properly.

  • The person needs to have very strong leadership qualities to do the job.
  • He or she should have required strong interpersonal qualities to establish and maintain healthy relationships.
  • The person should be very highly knowledgeable and responsible individual towards the work.
  • The other skills required are the good organizational and analytical skills.

Education and Qualifications

  • The basic degree required is a Master’s or doctoral degree in school administration or related field from an accredited institution.
  • It will be an added advantage for the person having at least five or ten year’s experience in related field.
