The job profile of a Ticket taker involves working at an examination centre for validating a candidate to appear for an exam. The ticket taker checks the ticket validity and permits a candidate to give an exam.

A ticket taker also works at events where tickets are issued to validate entry to the event. A ticket taker ensures that only eligible people enter the event. He/she has the authority to prohibit any person who creates disorder at the event.

Ticket taker Duties and Responsibilities –

  • Validating the tickets of the students and submit them to the examination boards.
  • Ensuring only eligible candidates enter the event by checking tickets at the entry
  • Helping students sit properly at the venue
  • Checking the attendance of candidates
  • Coordinating with other authorities to avoid an unpleasant situation.

Ticket taker Skills and Specifications –

  • Should be able to coordinate and work with other authorities for smooth event  operations
  • Be flexible to work anytime when needed
  • Should have a cheerful and helping attitude

Ticket taker Education and Qualifications –

  • A Bachelor’s  degree
  • Should have enough work experience

Ticket taker Salary –

The salary for this position is around $7-8 per hour.
