Assistant HR / IR Manager Job Profile and Description

HR is an important function and all companies for sure have an HR department at the least. IR is a bit different from HR, but the job function is pretty much similar in many large companies. As an assistant HR/ IR manager you’d be responsible for looking after both human resources and industrial relations. If you take a close look at the two of them as different job functions, you’d realize that both are more or less similar to each other, except that a combined role like this would come with more responsibilities and of course more money.

Assistant HR / IR Manager Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • As an assistant HR you’d be responsible for proper functioning of the HR office and that includes maintaining employee records, health information of employees, employment details etc. You’d be also involved in recruitment and training processes.
  • As an IR manager you’d be looking after the health of relations that the employees have with the employer and the function is pretty much similar to HR.

Assistant HR / IR Manager Job Skills and Specifications

  • You need to be an efficient communicator and be able to solve employee problems without delay.
  • A big part of the job is training. You need to be able to train people across department verticals on company policies, rules etc.
  • Should know basic computer.

Assistant HR / IR Manager Job Education and Qualifications

This is a senior level position, so you at least need to have a college degree in human resources. There are some universities that offer a combined degree in HR and IR. You could also opt for one of those.

Assistant HR / IR Manager Salary

On an average monthly salary should be around $15k – $17k.
