Law Enforcement Job Profile and Description

 

The job profile of a ‘Law Enforcement Officer’ involves performing particular assignments in compliance with standard rules and measures. A law enforcement officer prefers concentrating on one or more areas of activities like – investigation, police, conformity, and security position etc-etc. Their main duty is to impose laws established for the security of people and property by interrogating, detaining, and arresting suspected violators. They also need to act as witness for the enforcement activities at trials.

Duties and Specifications –

  • Doing inquiries on all investigations and complaints in a fast and professional manner.
  • Serving and delivering warrants, summons, subpoenas, and other official documents without delay.
  • Investigating all accidental cases
  • Working in coordination with other law enforcement agencies to make sure that the maximum objectives are achieved.
  • Preparing perfect and concise reports
  • Acquiring and keeping information about events occurred during the completion of an assignment
  • Handling building, plumbing, and land usage checks.
  • Issuance of building, floodplain management, and plumbing, use of land, destruction and sign permits etc.
  • Interacting with fellow staff and superiors about the information gathered during investigation.
  • Performing required inspections and assisting the public.
  • Participating in assessment of a site plan & planning purposes.
  • Taking suitable legal action against violation of established rules and policies.
  • Conducting traffic stops and issuing cautions, summons, detaining, and defects for law enforcement rules violation.

Skills and Specifications –

  • Must be able to undergo the job that has potential danger and tension.
  • Must be physically fit to perform different inspection duties inspection
  • Should have good communication skills
  • Should have no criminal record.
  • Should be able to work independently

Education and Qualifications –

  • A Bachelors degree in law from an accredited institution.
  • Basic course in law enforcement training is a definite plus
