The key accountability of a Maintenance Helper is to assist in the upkeep of a facility. Such helpers are widely recruited by commercial, residential, industrial facilities and other service centers. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of all areas of a facility.
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the work areas.
  • Inspecting all electrical units and systems and ascertaining the proper functioning of the same.
  • Keeping a record of all the day to day maintenance activities undertaken in a facility.
  • Maintaining service cycle records.
  • Reporting defects, damages and malfunctions of any kind to the supervising authority.
  • Complying with all corporate policies and the Occupational Safety and health administration rules (OSHA) while working.
  • Effectively completing all tasks as assigned by the supervising manager.
  • Coordinate work processes with other internal departments of the establishment.

Skills and Specifications

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to identify technical defects in electrical units and other equipments in a facility.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, meet deadlines and coordinate work functions with fellow workers.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.
  • Must possess a valid work license as a maintenance helper and have about 2 to 3 years of experience in a related field.
