The job of project management is the core company activity which involves application of skills, knowledge, techniques and tools throughout the project activities so that pre determined objectives of quality, scope, cost, and time are achieved to the equal expectations of those who are involved. On the whole, it is the responsibility of the project manager to coordinate, direct, implement, control and complete, and execute the specific projects consistently with company strategy, goals and commitments. The project managers make a use of project management software to maintain the track of project deliverable and resources.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • To manage project development and execute from instantiation to closure.
  • To work with project sponsor for the culmination of project charter outlining goals, budget, timing, deliverable, project scope, and required resources.
  • To complete work breakdown structure for the estimation of efforts needed for each task.
  • To prepare and provide a project schedule for all participants to identify the commencement of their tasks.
  • To communicate clearly the expectations to project sponsors and team members.
  • To resolve issues and solve problems throughout the project cycle.
  • To determine the requirement of external contractors or consultants to accomplish the project plan, recruit and manage appropriate staff if required.
  • To track and report project milestones and provide status reports to project sponsors.
  • To lead, coach and motivate members of project team on a positive basis.
  • To determine the test results of project and complete post-project evaluations to determine the expected results.
  • To develop tools and apply best practices for the execution and project management.
  • To ensure successful archive of project documents after the project is completed.
  • Knowledge of project management tools and software packages.
  • Ability to operate well in fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Operational, technical marketing and management skills.
  • Must be a good communicator.
  • Leadership qualities and excellent problem-solving ability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Technology related field from an accredited institution.
  • 5-10 years hand-on experience in project management activities.
  • Masters degree in Business related field is an added advantage.
