The Logistics jobs carry the responsibility of shifting goods of the clients to the directed place through a systematic procedure. The job involves storage of goods, preparing the papers and planning and handling the movement. They may have to participate in handling various jobs like warehousing, customer service, and transportation. It is completely a team work job.

 

Logistics Duties and Responsibilities –

Some common duties and responsibilities include:–

  • Managing the different activities related to logistics like storage, record, billing and customer service
  • Working in coordination with other staff to complete all the tasks related to logistics
  • Managing and changing the shipment schedules according to the orders
  • Tacking shipments for customers
  • Identifying the logistics problems and finding the right solutions
  • Handling and performing different activities at a time

Logistics Skills and Specifications –

Some common skills and specification are: –

  • Must be a team player and work in coordination with other staff
  • Must be able to multitask
  • Should have excellent communication skills
  • Should be open to work long hours

Logistics Education and Qualifications:

A graduate degree is required for middle and senior jobs in this trade. Possessing a diploma or certificate course in Operation Management or Supply Chain Management is definitely a plus.
For junior positions, a high school diploma is sufficient.

Logistics Salary:

The average salary for the entry level individuals is about $20,000 to $23,000 per year. For experienced professionals, it is $46,000 to $123,000.
