Mechanical Assembler Job Profile and Description

The job profile of a ‘Mechanical Assembler’ requires a person performing assemblage of mechanical parts, components or, products. An assembler mainly works in a business related to manufacturing sector. They work in a team performing assemblage of various items.

Duties and Responsibilities –

  • Performing assemblage of various parts and components, or a whole product
  • Working under the direction of a supervisor for assembling products
  • May be required to perform minor soldering of component parts to boards or connectors
  • Identifying faulty parts during the assembly process and, testing the assembled parts or products to check their quality and function ability
  • Following the safety procedures
  • Providing assistance to senior level mechanics

Skills and Specifications –

  • Should know how to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and instructions of engineers for performing proper assemblage
  • Should have the required knowledge about the assembling procedures
  • Should have good hand dexterity, with good eyesight and health
  • Must be ready to perform repetitive tasks
  • Should be fit for working long hours

Education and Qualifications –

It requires a High school diploma with some technical or vocational training, on -the-job training is provided in every business.
