The job profile of a ‘Brand Manager’ involves applying different marketing techniques for assessing and promoting the market performance of a brand. One must be able to review all commercial activities in the market for a brand, and work for the improvement of the business. It involves evaluation of expenses against profits for improving the profits. They are involved in planning and developing promotion and marketing strategies for a brand.

Brand Manager Duties and Responsibilities –

  • Setting up the pricing for a brand
  • Taking care of all the promotions, and marketing activities for a brand
  • Conducting researches about market trends and fashion
  • Planning and organizing the product launching, & distribution of a product
  • Expanding company dealership network
  • Maintaining good business relationships with suppliers, dealers, wholesalers and retailers.
  • Handling the enquiries and problems of supplies and dealers
  • Conducting weekly marketing performance reports

Brand Manager Skills and Specifications –

  • Must be able to identify new markets for a brand
  • Must have good interpersonal & communication skills
  • Must have good leadership
  • Must be assertive and, have strong decision making abilities
  • Must have excellent management, organizational and people management skills

Brand Manager Education and Qualifications –

  • A graduate degree in Commerce, Business Management or equivalent course is basic.
  • A business management degree with 3-5 years of work experience in marketing
