The job profile of a Pricing/Tariff Manager requires a person to set the pricing structure for the products of a company. They have to study the prices of the products of other companies. They conduct market research and gather sales reports from the market from various distributors to price their company’s products according to the market demands.

Pricing and Tariff Manager Duties and Responsibilities –

  • Form the pricing structure for the products of the company
  • Conduct market research and collect data regarding consumer buying trends
  • Studying the sales reports gathered from market to form pricing model for their company products
  • Handle a team of Pricing Analysts for updating the pricing model as per the market demands
  • Executing changes in the pricing structure when required

Pricing and Tariff Manager Skills and Specifications –

  • Must have excellent understanding about the pricing dynamics of products in various markets
  • Must have excellent understanding about statistical or mathematical models for pricing
  • Should have good management, organization, people management and communication skills

Pricing and Tariff Manager Education and Qualifications –

  • A college degree in Commerce, Business Management, or in a industry specific technical course is required.
  • An MBA with 3-5 years experience in a management function in a related area is a plus.
