An enterostomal therapy nurse helps patients with disorders related to the stomas, like colostomy, urostomy etc. They give information to patients on how to prevent stomach ulcers and how to deal with it and also help in the management and rehabilitation of patients who have wounds as a result of surgeries, fistulas, ulcers and urinary, faecal incontinence. These wounds are treated and drained and then patients are given counseling on how to stop it from happening in the future.
