Insurance Sales Representative Job Profile and Description

This job profile is similar to an insurance agent’s profile – selling insurance policies to people and businesses by analyzing their requirements and financial conditions. It may involve selling policies like casualty, property, life, health, and mutual funds and other securities etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Insurance sales associates recognize customers and sell life, real estate asset, injury, health, vehicle, or other types of insurance to them
  • They need to go to events and programs to learn about new goods and services and get technical assistance in developing new accounts
  • They need to determine the rates and recognize the payment method with the customer
  • They contact the customers to deliver and explain the rules of the plan, analyze the plan and discuss with them to create any changes in the program or beneficiaries
  • They have to discover out the client’s specifications and change the plans to suit those needs
  • They must develop marketing and revenue strategies to contest with other agents from competing insurance firms
  • They must create sure that all the plan specifications are satisfied, like medical exams or proper realization forms
  • They may have to analyze real estate asset, analyze its condition to discover out if it is a good insurance risk
  • They interview buyers to obtain data about their money, and physical conditions
  • They need to maintain and upgrade records and handle plan renewals

Education and Qualifications
