Logistics Sales Account Executive Job Profile and Description

The Logistics Sales Account Executive is responsible for selling the warehouse spaces of third party logistics (3PL) service providers to businesses who outsource or augment their warehousing needs. These warehouse operators are found adjacent to shipyards, rail stations and air terminals where cargo shipments can easily be stored right from unloading from their transport media. They are also seen in export processing zones or near manufacturing companies where there’s closer proximity with the sources of goods to be stored.

Logistics Sales Account Executive Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed the target sales quota for the period
  • Provide account management and customer relations services to 3PL customers
  • Assist prospective customers in understanding the warehousing procedures and provide short lectures on using its automated ordering system online when available.
  • Provide regular sales performance updates to the Logistics Sales Manager.
  • Coordinate with warehousing management in the enrollment of new customers in the automated inventory management system and to provide customers with the necessary storage data in accepting and withdrawing their inventories.

Logistics Sales Account Executive Skills and Specifications

  • Should have superior persuasive communications and interpersonal skills
  • Should be knowledgeable in the intricacies of supply chain management cycle
  • Should have strong organizational and clerical skills as well as computer literacy

Logistics Sales Account Executive Education and Qualifications

  • A college degree in commerce or business management but a Master’ Degree gives an edge.
  • At least 2-3 years experience in sales functions preferably in the supply chain management industries is preferred.
