A Database Analyst has to do a lot of works basically has to manage electronic data according to corporate data administration policies to ensure that the information needs of the users are met and the most important thing is that the process remain invariant communication with one another efficiently and smoothly. These analysts manage the execution of the technologies and install the necessary software and hardware nd work for the database management as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

A database analyst has to fulfill a wide range of duties and responsibilities and they are as following:

  • He or she has to work with IT team to hardware or software installations.
  • He or she has to do the common works such as installations, upgrades, testing, working at optimization of capacity planning, data storage, efficiencies, and database growth.
  • It will be the duty to work with the advanced software so writing and understanding Microsoft SQL. Writing SQL statements, stored procedures are very necessary.
  •  He or she has to give the views also by using industry best practices for security and efficiency.
  • He or she has to work totally up on the database management so will have to do the code management, review and documentation.
  • He or she has to know everything about the applications so will have to work with the application developers testing results.
  • He or she has to do other common jobs such as creating, developing and managing internal procedures for various job functions within the ERP system.
  • It will be also the duty to support the ERP software, database structure and data.
  • He or she will always should try to roll the ERP so has to working with implementation team to build new ERP solution to organization
  • He or she has to work with the consultants to design database structure specific to carousel’s needs.

        The candidate desiring for the job should have the following skills and specifications:

  • He or she should have the ability to collect the data and information.
  • The candidate should have the ability to use inductive reasoning.
  • He or she should be able to determine the relationships between solutions and requirements of the company
  • He or she should have the ability of communicating with management, staffs and clients.
  • He or she should be trouble shooter and has the ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.

Education and Qualifications

  • The basic degree which is required for the job is a University degree or college diploma in computer science with course work in database management, information systems and business.
