Outbound Call Center representative supposed to increase the sales by collecting or sharing some data that includes surveys, telemarketing or verifications.  He or he is specialized in making phone calls on behalf of an organization, client, or business to diverse customers or potential customers. The outbound call center executives may call the existing customers for promotion of specific schemes as well.

Duties and Responsibilities

The job entails with a number of duties and responsibilities and they are as follows:

  • The prime duty is to solicit orders for services or goods by interacting by with the customers by phone.
  • He or she needs to fulfill the basic duties such as requesting donations, information, making appointments, collecting information or conducting follow-up.
  • He or she needs to communicate with the private individuals or businesses by phone for various purposes.
  • It will be the responsibility to increase the client base so has to deliver prepared sales scripts in persuading potential customers to purchase the organization’s product or service.
  • He or she has to describe products and services to the customers for responding to questions, and obtaining the information.
  • He or she has to work for increasing the sales so needs to develop the targeted sales campaigns.
  • The duty includes the work of documentation as well therefore enter the data and maintain database of existing customers or potential customers.
  • He or she has to prepare the reports and maintain them as well such as telephonic communications, interactions, accounts, orders, and payments.
  • He or she has the responsibility is to take proper care that the outbound calls do not disturb, annoy, or offend people enrolled in do-not-call lists.

  • The person needs to be a technical expert in related computer applications.
  • He or she needs to be an excellent communicator and so should have great communication skills to work in close manner.
  • He or she should possess excellent keyboard skills and impressive telephone etiquette especially to do the job.
  • The person should have the ability to react effectively and calmly in emergency situations.
