Telemarketing Manager is responsible for supervising the telemarketers in persuading the customers or individuals to buy the products and services and is accountable for recruiting, leading and mentoring an inbound and outbound call center. The job brings with the position, a plethora full of challenges that require a comprehensive understanding of the very basic management skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

There are the following duties and responsibilities which are expected to be fulfilled by a telemarketing manager:

  • The prime duty is to create a process-impelled workflow for sales or telemarketing and needs to follow-up and qualification.
  • It will be the duty to develop call scripts for telemarketer’s use with lead generation and qualification timely.
  • He or she has to create team compensation structure and performance metrics perfectly for presenting to the seniors.
  • He or she has to try for increasing the client base so has to supervise telemarketers in persuading the customers to buy the organization’s products and services.
  • He or she has to interface closely with sales and marketing department as well to ensure alignment.
  • It will be the duty to use data driven examines to optimize telesales and telemarketing operations.
  • He or she needs to maintain the follow-up procedures and laws to new clients correctly and initiating them under minimal supervision.
  • He or she has the duty to maintain accurate detailed and applicable contact data in the database.
  • He or she should have to work for increasing the sales such as calling sales prospect individuals in target industries for qualifying leads and setting up appointments for sales force directly.
  • Developing, training, and managing telesales or telemarketing teams for technology or software organizations.

The skills and specifications required to do the job of a telemarketing manager in a candidate are as follows:

  • The person should have the ability to handle effectively multiple projects at one time.
  • He or she should be able to prioritize work as well as meet tight deadlines in a strict atmosphere.
  • He or she should have a thorough and deep technical acumen and knowledge of organization’s product.
  • It will be needed to have required knowledge of computer and expert in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • He or she should have the ability to be an excellent leader so train others in telesales or telemarketing function.

Education and Qualifications

  • The basic degree required to do the job is a Bachelor’s degree in telemarketing or sales management from an accredited institution.
  • The other requirement for the job is having some past working experience in telemarketing activities.
