The Finance Manager is the one who is basically a professional and supposed to advise and support the clients for making the sound business choices. The duties and responsibilities depend upon the size of the firm. The manager needs to collect and operate accounts in a small firm and do the strategy analysis in a big firm. They may work at the private and public sectors often in small businesses like retailers, middle level businesses such as financial institutions to large scale businesses such as multinational companies.   • He or she has to monitor the cash flow properly to predict future financial trends.
  • He or she has to identify the changes and advise the clients accordingly.
  • He or she has to formulate the strategies and process to plan the long term financial plans for a business entity.
  • He or she has to do the research on the effective factors of the business performances.
  • The finance manager has to analyze the performance of competitors properly and the marketing trends as well.
  • He or she has to develop the management mechanism in the finances department properly for minimizing the financial risks.
  • He or she has to monitor the cost reduction opportunities of the firm to manage the systems of accounting for the finances of the company.
  • A finance manger also needs to work with the auditors properly and manage the budget as well.
  • He or she has to establish the effective working relationships with the professionals such as bankers, auditors or statutory organizations.
  • It will be the responsibility to update the firm regarding the changes in legislation or regulations.
  • The financial manager has to make the contacts with the new sources for financing the firm’s debt facilities.
