A wedding planner is someone who is responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating. The planner has to supervise supervises all tasks. It will be the responsibility to ensure that the ceremony turns out to be nothing but a success.

Duties and Responsibilities

There are the following duties and responsibilities of a wedding planner:

  • The main duty is to talk to the couple about their wishes for the ceremony.
  • He or she has to prepare a budget firstly with all that is required.
  • He or she has to write out a check list so that nothing is left unattended.
  • It will be the responsibility to identify a venue for the ceremony and the reception.
  • He or she has to fulfill the jobs such as hiring florists, caterers, and other service personnel.
  • He or she has to maintain the coordination with the rentals e.g. renting of tents, a motorcade, chauffeurs etc.
  • He or she has to do the menu planning.
  • He or she is responsible for helping draw up and distribute the registry.
  • It will be the responsibility to manage any problems that occur.

  • He or she should have the ability to read people.
  • The person needs to be a team player and independent.

The basic degree required is a bachelor’s degree in business or hospitality management. Experience is crucial.
