In a court, a deputy clerk performs various administrative tasks land service to public, judicial officers, attorneys and court staff. Deputy court clerk is appointed by the district judges and they have overall management authority and have the responsibility for the non-judicial workings of the court. This is the highest-level non-judicial position in a court. Deputy clerks works with the chief judge and assures that the clerical and operational needs of the court are met effectively and efficiently. The deputy clerk is also responsible for providing administrative support services for human resources, space, systems technology, facilities, and court staff.
