Prosecutor Job Profile and Description


Today, there is a high demand for prosecutors because of the increasing crime around us. A prosecutor performs legal action against different kinds of crime in court or, to protect a person in a legal matter. They are government employees who fight legal cases against suspected criminals in trial proceedings.

Duties and Responsibilities –

  • Appearing in hearings and other legal proceedings of a court.
  • Representing client in court and, advising them on legal proceedings
  • Updating client about the case developments
  • Perform investigations and drafting legal documents.
  • Examining the medical files, arranging files and keeping track of interrogations.
  • Perform research on the law amendments
  • Ensuing justice is done in a court
  • Trying their best efforts to save the innocent and charge the guilty.

Skills and Specifications –

  • Must be self-confident
  • Must be good in legal argument
  • Should be a keen reader for reading literature in law.
  • Should have an aggressive mind.
  • Should have good communication skills.

Education and Qualifications –

A person must hold a bachelors’ or masters’ law degree and have passed the bar examination and possess a valid license.
