Coin-operated Vending Machine and Arcade Amusement Machine Repairers install, adjust or repair machines designed to dispense food and beverage as well as arcade game machines, music jukeboxes, and similar coin-operated machines. They service food and beverage vending machines by restocking the machines and retrieving the money collected, performing some accounting to reconcile the previously loaded stock with sold items. These servicers/repairers are employed in various consumer retailers or manufacturers with vending machines installed in offices and public places.

Vending Machine/Arcade Amusement Machine Servicer/Repairer Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor stocking levels of vending machines with regular or random visits or if they can be tracked remotely.
• Visit assigned vending machine locations and refill machines with food and beverage as specified.
• Maintain records of merchandise restocked and money collected.
• Retrieve coins and bills from vending machines, preparing invoice and settling concessionaire accounts as necessary.
• Inspect vending machines and counters to troubleshoot malfunctions and adjust or repair jamming or stuck items.
• Test machines for proper functioning.
• Withdraw or remove vending machines requiring major repairs
• Perform major repairs as per machine servicing manuals from the manufacturer.
• Retrieve recorded transaction logs and notify accounting staff of any discrepancy between sold items and collected money.
