The role of a ‘Brand Strategist’ is very important in any business. A brand strategist is responsible for planning strategies for brand promotion. It involves performing market research to identify business opportunities for a brand. They work with the sales and marketing team in a company. They have to find new and innovative ways to enhance branding of a product.


Brand Strategist Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performing market research for brand promotion
  • Identifying the loopholes in the current promotion strategies & making the corrections
  • Planning short or long term strategies as per the business needs
  • Working in coordination with the brand managers and directors to promote a brand
  • Finding best possible way to introduce products in the market
  • Must bring regular & intelligent changes in the promotion strategies to keep the brand interesting in the eye of the customers

Brand Strategist Skills and Specifications:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Should have good market research skills, and knowledge about market trends, and a clear understanding about brand promotion.

Brand Strategist Education and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Management
  • A Masters degree in Business Management with specialization in Sales and Marketing and brand management is highly preferable
  • A Professional degree in Marketing and Brand Management
  • On-job experiences as brand communicator or strategist

The average annual salary of a Brand Strategist ranges from $50,000 to $75,000.
