The ‘Business Development’ jobs involve liaising between the various departments of sales, marketing, procurement, and administration in a company. They may have to work either internal or directly with the company clients. They are required to work for the development of the business – finding new market opportunities, planning brand strategies etc-etc.
Duties and Responsibilities –
- Working closely with others for business development
- Planning and developing marketing strategies and implementing them
- Planning & presenting business proposals
- Performing market research and keep track of market trends and developments in the industry
- Keep good professional business relations with suppliers, dealers and customers
- Training the sales team when required
- Observing & assessing the performance of sales team and guiding for achieving the sales targets
- Tracking the development and results of the marketing strategies for achieving business objectives
Skills and Specifications –
- Should have good business management and development abilities
- Should be able to work in coordination with various people
- Should have good communication and networking skills
- Should have good prospecting, planning, and presentation skills
- Should have good market knowledge
Education and Qualifications –
It requires having a Commerce degree with a background in sales, finance, and accounting. Also, holding an MBA is beneficial.
