Office Attendant Job Description and Profile

The Office Attendant is accountable for performing the various required duties and activities in an office – attending visitors, phone calls and couriers etc. They also handle the banking tasks and other liaising works.

Office Attendant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greeting guests and providing appropriate and precise information
  • Scheduling and monitoring sessions for the senior management personnel
  • Intimating the person when their guests arrive
  • Handling the telephone and forwarding calls or messages
  • Sorting and disseminating the mails
  • Sending out the mails
  • Receiving and sending faxes

Office Attendant Education, Training, and Qualifications

Most business employers do not need any official education for Office Attendants; however it is good to have a School or College degree for this position.

Office Attendant Degrees, Courses, and Certification

Although, no official level is necessary to work as an Office Attendant, having secretarial work experience is preferred. One should know the operation of computers and familiar with general office operations.
