A Clinical Research Associate’s job necessitates supervising and completing medical trials, which is a scientific study of the risks, effects, benefits, and efficiency of a medical product. These trials are undertaken at various phases that comprise: trials on salubrious mankind, trials on a diseased patient, and studies carried on a new product after its launch to supervise safety and side effects. A CRA is responsible to put up, supervise, and complete medical trials.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Writing and developing trial protocols.
- Presenting protocols to a guiding committee.
- Preparing study detailed documents and study booklets.
- Managing regulatory agency applications and approving that oversee the marketing and research of new and surviving drugs.
- Mediating with consultants, doctors or investigators on leading the trial.
- Setting up the study centers and training the site faculty to industry standards.
- Collecting completed Case Record Forms (CRFs) from hospitals and general recitations.
- Supervising the trial’s end-to-end duration.
- Filing and comparing the trial documentation and studies.
- Discoursing results with a medical actuary who writes technical trial studies.
- Preparing terminal reports and at times manuscripts for publication.
Skills and Specifications
- Excellent planning and organization skills.
- Well versed in clinical research methods and biological sciences.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Should be familiar with pharmaceutical industry studies.
- Demonstrate record of scientific writing.
- Multi-tasking ability with project management skills.
- Good experience in Ms software like Word and Excel.
- Should work under pressure.
- Pays attention to detail.
Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences is basic.
- Degree in the field of Health is necessary.
- Postgraduate training in Life Science is preferred.
- Interest in Clinical research is must.
