A Retail Buyer Service job requires a great deal of expertise and flair of interacting with buyers. This job is of utmost importance form the organization’s point of view as a candidate of this profile is typically responsible for developing relationship with buyers and bridging the gap between them and the establishment. A person in this position typically reports to the retail manager or store supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Interacting with store buyers and taking their feedback on the goods and services provided by the store.
- Registering consumer complaints and addressing all queries effectively and promptly.
- Forwarding all suggestions, complaints and other feedback to the retail manager.
- Upholding the objective of the organization and building the brand image.
- Assisting in making marketing plans and conceptualizing store events.
- Keeping a track of all products, sale trends and market trends to be able to interact with buyers better.
- Completing all tasks delegated by the supervising manager.
- Meeting all assigned targets.
- Assisting the sales team and other departments by providing them relevant buyer feedbacks.
Skills and Specifications
- Must possess good written as well as verbal communication skills.
- Must be a good team worker and have the ability of synchronizing work functions with co-workers.
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting with buyers.
Education and Qualifications
- High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent from an accredited institution is basic.
- Bachelor’s degree or a diploma in retailing, sales or other related field of study with 3 – 5 years experience in the retail industry is preferred.
