The role of Catering Sales Manager is very important in every food & beverage establishment – hotel, restaurant and banquet halls. They are primarily responsible for promoting the catering services, and increasing sales. They meet with potential clients and offer them the available services for hosting parties, events and anniversaries etc.

Catering Sales Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to offer catering services and help them plan events.
  • Draft and publish the sales contract to client for review, acceptance and payment.
  • Report progress of the events to the General Manger or Manager of Catering
  • Ensure functional conformity with health and kitchen safety rules
  • Coordinate with other departments like kitchen staff and vendors
  • Providing delivery vans to reach venue
  • Investigates and take care of problems regarding meals quality or service

Catering Sales Manager Skills and Specifications

  • Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must have great organization, supervisory and managing skills

Catering Sales Manager Education and Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management or related courses
  • 2-3 years of work experience in sales management capacity is a plus
