Under the supervision of a Radiology Manager, an Ultrasound Technician performs a variety of technological operations that need very specialized equipment. The primary obligation is to do take indicative ultrasound images, create records, and share crucial data with healthcare staff to detect and oversee a range of ailments like cancer, heart disease, and pregnancy.

Duties and Specifications


  • Executing ultrasound exams in small areas like OB, abdominal, and vascular as recommended by the physicians
  • Operating ultrasound equipment, selecting appropriate technological elements, leaving open the film properly to guarantee ideal quality
  • Keeping devices upkeep with standard maintenance as well as reporting any kind of defects or failures to the manager.
  • Discussing procedure with patients, questioning and obtaining medical record.
  • Giving nursing and technological aide to the Radiologist and doctor throughout the performance.
  • Maintaining a harmless, clean, and resourceful work atmosphere as per the policies and procedures.
  • Maintaining the room with sufficient and required supplies and taking care of the materials
  • Positioning patients adequately and communicating with the health care professionals, nursing units, and others.
  • Developing and keeping positive interpersonal relations with other unit personnel.
  • Carrying out analyses on patients of different ailments and ages, considering the physical as well as physiological needs of every patient
  • Recording and keeping all files related to the ultrasound exam, including jackets, pathology records, medical imaging, requisitions, patient charts, and day-to-day logs.
  • Maintaining quality standards that meet customer expectations and needs through a course improvement and group oriented approach.

  • Expertise of sterile techniques.
  • Knowledge of procedures to acquire technically indicative ultrasound images.

Education and Qualifications

  • Graduation in Ultrasound technology from an accredited institution.
  • Certification in Ultrasound technology or has accomplished eligibility requirements for RDMS.
